Ducks on a swimming pool
Yes, our swimming pool is visited by ducks. We shoo them off, because they tend to poop in the water, and on the pool surrounds. Not nice. But I know they sneak in at dawn for a quick splosh while we’re still (usually) asleep. I took these a couple of years ago, when they first came to visit. They’re a pair of Australian black ducks, and the underside of those wings is white.
We have occasional duck issues, too, same duck species. The thing that’s been effective for us is to string a few lengths of rope from one side of the pool fence to the other, across the water. This stops them landing in the pool. That stops them coming for a while.
